SIA cuts fuel surcharges again
SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) has cut fuel surcharges on short and medium-haul sectors for tickets issued from today. The cuts range from about 5 to 21 per cent and are the third since jet-fuel prices started falling in September last year. The reductions go by seat category and are greatest for short-haul sectors in economy class. Passengers flying between Singapore and South-east Asian gateways will pay a US$22 surcharge in economy class versus US$28 before, and US$29 in business class versus US$32 before. First-class passengers pay US$36 per ticket. Similar changes will apply to SIA subsidiary SilkAir's regional flights.
