My stocks portfolio - Dec 2012

My holding period return was 2.75% in the month of December 2012. Since the beginning of the year 2010, my overall holding period returns translate to 9.20% in annualised return. The year 2012 generated returns of 31.67% including dividends compared to 20.38% and -17.85% in the year of 2010 and 2011 respectively.

Every $3 invested in 2012 = $1 profit.This seem miles ahead than bond.

Take note the return may not be repeated each year. There is still uncertainty in the returns of your stocks unlike bonds.

im more concerned with the long term returns from stocks.
